Network Operations Technician

About the role

Wynn Al Marjan Island, the first integrated resort in the UAE set to open in 2027, is looking for a Network Operations Technician to join its IT Operations Engineering & Support team. The role covers day-to-day network monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance and support.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network systems for performance issues, outages and security threats
• Investigate and resolve network problems using diagnostic tools and logs
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades, including patches, firmware updates and configuration changes
• Install and configure network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls and access points
• Collaborate with network engineers and architects to optimise system performance
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, incidents and resolutions
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours network alerts
• Support end users and IT teams with network issues and escalations
• Ensure compliance with internal security protocols and external regulatory standards

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in network operations or IT infrastructure support
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Required skills

• Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and VLAN configurations
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds) and ITSM platforms (e.g. ServiceNow)
• Experience with wireless systems and controllers (e.g. WLC)
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA are preferred
• Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) is a plus
