IPTV Operations Engineer

About the role

du, the UAE's second licensed telecommunications operator, is hiring an IPTV Operations Engineer in Dubai. The role covers 24x7 availability, escalation handling and coordination with carrier partners to resolve trouble tickets, with a focus on IGW and SBC operations and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Handle escalations and coordinate with carrier partners on trouble ticket resolution within SLA.
• Generate audit, health and capacity reports.
• Perform IGW tasks including testing with new partners, acceptance testing and new feature implementation.
• Handle customer complaints and VIP care cases; communicate strongly with customers.
• Make configuration changes in IGW core nodes (SOFTX3000, SBC).
• Maintain SBC and IGW equipment.
• Analyse call flows and telecom protocol traces.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunications or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• More than 6 to 7 years of experience in mobile core networks (IP natting, SIP, SS7 signalling) and telecom technologies, with team management and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage time and resources, analyse reports and motivate a team.

Required skills

• SS7, ISUP, SIGTRAN, SIP and IP network call setup and call flow.
• Core protocols: H.248, SIP, SS7, SS7 over IP, SIGTRAN, SIP/I/T, A-interface, with configuration and troubleshooting knowledge.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and report analysis.
