Neuro Physiologist

About the role

A client of Black Pearl Consult, one of the UAE's largest government-affiliated healthcare networks, is looking for a Neuro Physiologist to join its team in Abu Dhabi. The Neuro Physiologist conducts specialised neurological assessments and diagnostic procedures and assists physicians in diagnosing and managing neurological conditions. Experience with paediatric patients is highly preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct neurophysiological tests such as EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies and evoked potentials.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain the tests and ensure their comfort and safety.
• Monitor and record neurological activity accurately using specialised equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to interpret results and support diagnosis and treatment.
• Maintain and calibrate neurophysiology equipment so it remains in optimal working condition.
• Keep accurate, up-to-date patient records in line with healthcare standards.
• Follow infection control, safety and quality assurance protocols.
• Stay up to date with advances in neurophysiology testing and best practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Neurophysiology, Clinical Neurophysiology or a related field.
• Valid UAE healthcare professional licence or eligibility to obtain one.
• At least 3 years of relevant clinical experience; paediatric patient exposure preferred.
• Strong knowledge of neurological anatomy, physiology and diagnostic techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
