Neurology Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Neurology Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at NMC Healthcare in Al Ain. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality neurological care to both out‑patient and in‑patient populations while leading the neurodiagnostic laboratory.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive neurological assessment, diagnosis and treatment in the OPD and IP settings.
• Oversee the neurodiagnostic laboratory, ensuring accurate EEG and EMG testing and training technicians as needed.
• Offer on‑call emergency coverage for neurological emergencies.
• Participate in monthly educational conferences and continuous quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with clinical governance and safety standards.
• Implement occupational safety and health procedures, including risk assessments and proper use of personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• Medical degree with board certification or equivalent in Neurology.
• Valid license to practice medicine in the United Arab Emirates.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to patient confidentiality.
• Leadership ability to mentor staff and promote teamwork.
• Willingness to engage in professional development and adhere to hospital policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in performing and interpreting EEG and EMG studies.
• Experience managing a neurodiagnostic laboratory and training technical staff.
• Knowledge of clinical risk management and quality‑improvement processes.
• Familiarity with occupational safety and health management systems.
