Obstetrician and Gynecologist Consultant (High Risk)

About the role

The Al Ain Hospital is seeking an experienced Obstetrician and Gynecologist Consultant specialized in high‑risk pregnancies. The role involves delivering expert clinical care, leading multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to academic activities within a leading UAE healthcare facility.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive management for high‑risk pregnancies, including maternal complications and fetal anomalies.
• Perform and interpret advanced prenatal imaging and diagnostic procedures such as fetal ultrasound, Doppler studies, amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
• Lead multidisciplinary case discussions with neonatology, genetics, radiology and other specialties.
• Oversee antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care for complex obstetric cases and develop individualized care plans.
• Supervise, mentor and train junior medical staff, residents and fellows.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Maintain accurate medical records in line with hospital policies and SEHA/DOH regulations.
• Engage in teaching, research and continuing professional development.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Valid DOH licence (or equivalent CCT UK, American Board, German Board) and eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum 8–10 years of post‑specialisation experience, with substantial exposure to high‑risk obstetrics.
• Previous experience within SEHA or GCC healthcare systems is an advantage.
