Ocean Freight Export Senior Specialist

About the role

Join DHL Global Forwarding in Dubai as an Ocean Freight Export Senior Specialist, leading shipment execution and serving as the primary customer contact for ocean freight exports.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate shipment activities from booking to documentation and manage local and international transport.
• Act as the first point of contact for customers, handling exceptions, complaints and claims.
• Optimize routing, assignment and invoicing to maximize profitability and resolve invoice disputes.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for commodities and destinations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, identify upselling opportunities and conduct customer visits.
• Identify process improvements, resolve supplier performance issues and support less‑experienced team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• More than 2 years of experience in ocean freight export or related logistics functions.
• Proven ability to manage customer relationships and drive profitability.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ocean freight operations, documentation and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
