Offshore Rigger

About the role

EnerMech is seeking an experienced Offshore Rigger to support deck operations on client platforms. The role involves ensuring safe and efficient crane and lifting activities while adhering to company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform vessel and platform lifts under the direction of the Crane Supervisor or client.
• Attach and detach loads, select appropriate lifting arrangements, and verify equipment condition and certification.
• Conduct pre‑use inspections, minor repairs, and assist with equipment re‑certification campaigns.
• Maintain lifting appliances, complete risk assessments, logs, and related documentation.
• Support additional platform duties such as firefighting equipment operation and deck standby when required.

Required profile

• Minimum higher secondary school certificate or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of offshore rigging experience.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Rigging and crane operation on offshore platforms.
• Load calculation, centre of gravity assessment, and weight verification.
• Inspection, maintenance, and minor repair of loose lifting equipment.
• Use of signaling methods and tag lines for load control.
