Operations Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for an Operations Coordinator to join DHL Global Forwarding in Dubai. In this role you will support the transport and distribution unit, ensuring smooth supply‑chain operations and high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely administrative support to the transport and distribution department.
• Plan routes, coordinate with internal and external parties, and ensure shipments are collected and delivered within agreed timeframes.
• Liaise with import and export teams, communicate changes and updates to stakeholders.
• Oversee loading and unloading activities, record operations using scanning tools and update the database.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment through scheduled checks and reporting.
• Monitor stock records, retrieve information and respond to enquiries on inventory and delivery schedules.
• Ensure compliance with established procedures, policies and quality standards.
• Assist and train less‑experienced team members and help resolve recurring delivery issues.

Required profile

• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under limited supervision and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external partners.
• Customer‑focused attitude and willingness to support colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with scanning applications and mobile devices for data capture.
• Experience entering and maintaining data in a computerized database system.
