Operations Manager

About the role

Arabian Wanderers is expanding across the Middle East and needs a senior Operations Manager to own the end‑to‑end operational backbone of the business. This leadership position blends strategic planning with hands‑on field work to ensure every adventure trip meets the highest standards of quality, safety and guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, train and allocate freelance guides, astronomers and yoga instructors for B2C, school and corporate trips in the UAE.
• Lead large‑scale events on the ground, including school trips, corporate events and high‑volume weekend outings.
• Support the Operations Supervisor in managing transport, 4x4s, helpers, tents, equipment and food logistics for UAE camping trips.
• Coordinate with in‑country managers in Oman, Jordan and Socotra to maintain consistent standards across all destinations.
• Collaborate with sales on product training, itinerary preparation, cost analysis and client presentations.
• Establish and enforce quality, health and safety procedures, gather guest feedback and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop SOPs, automate processes and manage contracts with third‑party suppliers while keeping costs lean.

Required profile

• Proven senior operations or leadership experience, preferably in travel, tourism, adventure or events.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop cross‑functional teams.
• Experience with multi‑country or regional operations is a plus.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in field environments.
• Excellent communication skills for corporate clients, schools and diverse teams.
• Valid driving licence and passport allowing travel to Oman, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
• Based in the UAE or willing to relocate.
