Operations Officer – Waste Management

About the role

The Operations Officer will support the Operations Manager in overseeing back‑office functions related to waste collection, transport and disposal, ensuring compliance with regulations and alignment with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor procedures for waste collection, transport and disposal in line with legal requirements.
• Ensure company policies support business objectives and regulatory compliance.
• Manage and motivate staff, overseeing selection, training, performance reviews and motivation.
• Monitor operational costs to protect or improve profit margins.
• Develop departmental policies, track progress toward goals and conduct performance evaluations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute (mandatory); Master’s degree is desirable.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills in English and Hindi; additional languages are a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities, result‑orientation and focus on customer satisfaction.
• Effective planning, organizing and coordination capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure.
