Operator (Command & Control) - Plant Operations

About the role

This role operates and monitors process plants and facilities in the assigned area according to operating procedures and the company's HSE standards. It covers routine plant operations, equipment checks, chemical handling and emergency duties, with on-the-job training for UAE nationalization.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out assigned operational work safely in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform routine equipment checks, report defects and coordinate with the reporting supervisor for servicing.
• Adjust and monitor speed, temperature, pressure and flow rate changes so that shutdowns and start-ups run smoothly.
• Prepare plant and equipment for maintenance and receive chemicals, maintaining the stock and consumption register and preparing chemical batches in line with procedures and HSE rules.
• Operate related machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, and comply with safety, quality and environmental policies.
• Obtain work permits, follow up ongoing jobs and monitor contractors' activities for safety compliance.
• Act as Auxiliary Fireman or Site Safety Officer during emergencies as required by the Facility Response Plan.
• Follow the supervisor's instructions, prepare KPI checklists for management and contribute to continuous improvement of operating procedures.
• Provide on-the-job training for the Competency Based Training program for UAE Nationalization, and take part in emergency response as a team member.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment and help prepare section progress reports.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma in a relevant field or Secondary School Certificate.
• 4 years of experience in plant operations within a large industrial plant in the oil and gas industry.
