Oracle Data Engineer

About the role

A leading organisation in Abu Dhabi is hiring a hands-on Oracle engineer to build, run and optimise its enterprise data platforms on Oracle Cloud. The role covers database administration, data pipeline development, analytics reporting and L2/L3 support.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Oracle databases across all environments, including patching, upgrades, backup, recovery, high availability and disaster recovery
• Build data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes and integrations between Oracle Fusion and other business systems
• Develop data models, dashboards and reports for Finance, HR and other functions using Oracle analytics tools
• Tune SQL and PL/SQL, resolve performance issues and support capacity planning
• Apply security controls, keep documentation accurate and support audits
• Provide L2/L3 support, root cause analysis and controlled change delivery

Required profile

• 7+ years in Oracle database administration and data engineering
• Experience in regulated, high-availability environments with formal change control
• Oracle Cloud certifications are an advantage

Required skills

• Strong SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning and Oracle Fusion data experience
• Scripting skills (Shell, Python) in Linux/Unix environments
• Exposure to OCI, Oracle Analytics Cloud or Fusion Analytics is a plus
