Order Taker – In‑Room Dining

About the role

The Order Taker supports the in‑room dining service at Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi, ensuring guests receive their food and beverage orders promptly and accurately. You will act as the first point of contact for guests calling the room service line, providing courteous assistance and helping them enjoy a seamless dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Answer in‑room dining calls promptly and courteously.
• Take and accurately record guest food and beverage orders, confirming room numbers and special requests.
• Provide menu guidance, recommendations, and explain ingredients or dietary options when needed.
• Enter orders into the POS system and communicate allergies or dietary requirements to the kitchen.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely delivery and follow up on order status.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally, promoting additional items where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate order records, guest preferences, and adhere to hotel hygiene and safety standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in in‑room dining, room service, or a similar food‑and‑beverage role.
• Strong verbal and telephone communication skills in English.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, and ability to work flexible shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Basic computer knowledge.
• POS system operation.
