Outdoor Instructor for Adventure Programs

About the role

The Instructor will deliver safe, engaging, and professional outdoor activities and programmes for schools, universities, corporate groups, and youth organisations. You will lead groups in a variety of environments, ensuring participant welfare and high‑quality experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver adventure activities and sessions safely, following programme plans, SOPs and instructor briefings.
• Maintain strong group control, participant engagement and adapt delivery to group needs and abilities.
• Apply risk assessments and dynamic risk management, reporting incidents, near‑misses and equipment issues promptly.
• Ensure equipment, activity areas and accommodation are clean, organised and ready for use.
• Collaborate with senior instructors and management, upholding professional standards of behaviour, presentation and punctuality.

Required profile

• Experience delivering outdoor education, adventure activities or residential camps.
• Ability to lead groups, communicate confidently and build positive relationships with participants and staff.
• Good understanding of risk management, participant welfare and safe activity delivery.
• Relevant First Aid qualification and professional, reliable attitude.
• Adaptable, proactive and able to maintain a positive attitude in dynamic outdoor environments.
