Outlet Cashier - Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah

About the role

Hilton is hiring a full-time Outlet Cashier for its Waldorf Astoria property in Ras Al Khaimah. The role covers cashiering at restaurant and bar outlets, handling cash, checks and POS transactions, and keeping accurate records of cash receipts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cashiering functions at restaurant and bar outlets and execute financial transactions accurately, including cash, checks and POS.
• Reconcile daily cash receipts and transactions, investigate discrepancies and take responsibility for the cashier's house fund and its safekeeping.
• Enforce hotel credit policies and ensure settled guest checks are complete with supporting documents.
• Complete the cashier's remittance report and remit collected cash to the drop box at the end of shift.
• Assist guests with payment inquiries, provide receipts and handle billing issues courteously.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, and keep cash transaction documentation up to date.
• Support internal and external audits, provide requested documentation and implement corrective actions.
• Train new cashiers on cash handling, software systems and customer service, and collaborate with front office and accounting to resolve billing issues.

Required profile

• Proficiency in processing cash transactions accurately, including receiving payments, making change and balancing cash drawers.
• Ability to count money, verify checks and credit card transactions and detect counterfeit currency.
• Friendly, efficient service to customers and ability to handle inquiries and issues.
• Understanding of upselling and cross-selling techniques.

Required skills

• Familiarity with electronic cash registers or POS systems.
• Record-keeping and attention to detail.
