Painter – Hotel Interior & Exterior Maintenance

About the role

The Painter will maintain the interior and exterior appearance of the Desert Islands Resort & Spa by performing painting, touch‑up, surface preparation and related maintenance works, ensuring high quality standards while minimizing guest disruption.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out painting, repainting, touch‑up and decorative works throughout guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house spaces and offices.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling and repairing imperfections before applying paint.
• Apply appropriate paints, coatings and finishing materials and maintain painting tools and equipment.
• Perform preventive painting and maintenance according to the hotel schedule and respond promptly to departmental requests.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures and keep work areas clean and organized.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Painting, Building Maintenance, Construction or related field (preferred).
• Minimum one year of experience as a painter, preferably in a hotel, resort or commercial setting.
• Good knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation and finishing methods.
• Physically fit, able to work at heights and willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
