Painter Polisher

About the role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts in Fujairah is seeking a Painter Polisher to maintain and enhance the appearance of hotel interiors and furniture. The role involves applying finishes, preparing surfaces, and ensuring high‑quality results in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, varnish and other finishes to walls, ceilings and furniture using brushes, spray guns or rollers.
• Prepare new surfaces by applying primers or sealers and by removing old finishes through stripping, sanding, wire‑brushing, burning, water or abrasive blasting.
• Cover surfaces to protect them during painting and display appropriate signage.
• Clean, store and maintain painting tools and equipment after each job.
• Coordinate with vendors to modify colours of paint, stain or varnish as required.
• Follow all company safety, security and environmental policies; report hazards and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a professional appearance and support the hospitality team in guest‑facing areas as needed.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school qualification.
• Minimum of one year of hands‑on painting or finishing experience, preferably in a hotel or similar facility.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific licence or certification required.

Required skills

• Painting with brushes, spray guns and rollers.
• Surface preparation techniques such as sanding, stripping and abrasive blasting.
• Colour coordination and vendor communication.
