Part‑Time Digital Graphics Faculty

About the role

The School of Communication and Creative Industries at Canadian University Dubai seeks experienced part‑time faculty to teach Digital Media, 2D and 3D graphics for the Spring Semester. The role involves delivering engaging lectures and labs, supporting program quality, and contributing to curriculum development in line with university and UAE Ministry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses (up to 6 credit hours per semester) covering graphics for digital media, digital design studio, and contemporary art and design.
• Maintain accurate student records and submit grades at mid‑term and final periods.
• Prepare and update lesson plans and course syllabi within one week of semester start.
• Recommend and source course materials to enhance learning.
• Participate in curriculum review, improvement, and development of new courses.
• Supervise independent studies where applicable.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and practices.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert and support departmental compliance with accreditation requirements.
• Report equipment and resource needs promptly.
• Attend faculty meetings, orientation sessions, professional development workshops, and community engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• Master of Fine Arts in Digital Animation, 2D/3D Design or a closely related discipline (Ph.D. preferred) from a top‑ranked university.
• Proven record of teaching excellence and professional/creative practice in the relevant specialization.
• Preference for candidates with Canadian academic affiliation.
