About the role
The Pastry Commis 2 supports the pastry kitchen at Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort, by preparing and cooking baked goods to the resort’s high standards. This entry‑level position involves hands‑on food preparation, sanitation, and teamwork in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pastries according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
- Portion, chop, store ingredients and use baking equipment safely.
- Follow food‑safety policies, maintain personal hygiene and monitor appliance temperatures.
- Clean and disinfect work areas, set‑up and break‑down stations, and ensure sanitation compliance.
- Monitor food quality and portion sizes throughout the shift.
- Adhere to company safety, security and uniform policies and report any incidents.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Less than one year of related pastry or kitchen experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification required.
