Patient Admin Executive

About the role

The Patient Admin Executive will be the first point of contact for patients visiting Sharjah Medical Center. This role ensures smooth front‑desk operations, accurate patient registration, and effective coordination with insurance and billing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients, direct them to the appropriate department and provide routine hospital information.
• Register new patients, verify insurance coverage and eligibility, and maintain up‑to‑date insurance records.
• Handle phone calls and emails promptly, responding to patient queries and complaints in a professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NMC regulations, infection‑control standards and JCI requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe reception area and protect patient and staff confidentiality.
• Assist the billing team with claim documentation, resolve discrepancies and monitor pending approvals.
• Coordinate with the head‑office insurance team for escalations and prepare records for audits.

Required profile

• College diploma in any discipline or related field.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a shift‑based schedule.
• Attention to detail with high standards of data accuracy and privacy compliance.
• Ability to handle patient complaints courteously while maintaining confidentiality.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ICD and CDT coding to avoid claim rejections.
• Insurance verification and claims processing.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate patient and insurance records.
