Patient Admin Executive - UAEN

About the role

Royal Khalifa City Hospital Abu Dhabi is looking for a Patient Admin Executive to support the reception and billing functions of the hospital. The role covers greeting patients, registration, appointment management, insurance information and billing, as well as handling cash and cheque collections and keeping records accurate.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients, direct them to the right departments and give routine information about the hospital.
• Handle telephone inquiries and pass information to the doctor or nurse for callbacks.
• Manage appointments, including no-shows, rescheduling and confirmations.
• Register new patients and keep current patient records up to date.
• Explain medical insurance coverage, collect co-payments and issue claim forms for reimbursement.
• Facilitate daily cash collection, credit card slips and cheque deposits, following finance protocols.
• Maintain working knowledge of the hospital information system, clinic hours, appointment durations, doctor rosters and booking procedures.
• Check emails daily and respond to queries promptly; follow hospital policies and procedures.
• Keep the reception area safe and clean, handle complaints professionally and respect patient and staff confidentiality.
• Take part in training programmes and quality improvement activities, and follow infection control, patient safety and JCI regulations.
• Generate and process patient invoices for consultations, treatments and diagnostic tests, record charges accurately, and issue bills and statements for outstanding balances.

Required profile

• College degree or diploma in any discipline or a related field.
• Ability to work shifts as assigned by the team leader or supervisor.
• Good interpersonal skills and attention to data accuracy.
