Payments Manager

About the role

The Payments Manager will lead ADNOC Distribution’s payments agenda across all customer touchpoints, ensuring a secure, compliant and friction‑free experience that drives digital adoption, customer satisfaction and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the payments roadmap for in‑store, app, web and B2B channels, prioritising initiatives that improve conversion, speed and reliability.
• Sponsor business cases with Digital/IT and Finance for new capabilities such as tokenisation, instalments, pay‑by‑link and fleet/B2B enhancements.
• Lead governance with schemes, issuing and acquiring partners and internal stakeholders to optimise authorisation rates, manage chargebacks and improve operational performance.
• Drive delivery with payment acquirers, service providers and Digital/IT teams, ensuring secure implementation, thorough testing and timely resolution of technical issues.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes and emerging payment technologies, translating insights into actionable improvements in digital payment penetration, NPS and cost‑to‑serve.
• Explore and evaluate new payment methods and currencies, including AANI, cryptocurrencies and stablecoins, and develop business cases and roadmaps for their adoption.
• Own the end‑to‑end co‑brand bank‑card proposition, covering product design, go‑to‑market, lifecycle management and performance governance.
• Negotiate and structure co‑brand agreements in partnership with Legal, Finance, Compliance and Procurement, defining commercial terms, data rights and service level agreements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading payments strategy and delivery across multiple channels.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate internal teams and external partners.
• Deep understanding of security, regulatory and compliance requirements in the payments ecosystem.
• Responsibility for P&L ownership and commercial optimisation of payment products.
