Payroll Accountant

About the role

A company based in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai, is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to manage payroll operations and support HR-related financial activities. The role covers salary processing, payroll reporting, employee records and compliance with UAE Labour Law and Wage Protection System (WPS) requirements. Applicants with experience in UAE payroll systems and who can join immediately are preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll accurately and ensure salaries are paid on time.
• Maintain payroll records, employee information and HRMS data.
• Calculate leave salary, end-of-service benefits and other payroll entitlements.
• Ensure compliance with UAE WPS requirements and labour regulations.
• Prepare payroll reports in Microsoft Excel and relevant payroll systems.
• Coordinate with HR and finance to resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Safeguard confidential employee, payroll and financial information and keep accurate financial documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in payroll processing, HRMS administration and HR operations.
• Practical experience processing payroll for UAE-based employees.
• Good understanding of UAE Labour Law, WPS, leave salary and end-of-service calculations.
• Numerical accuracy, attention to detail, confidentiality and problem-solving.
• Immediate availability preferred.

Required skills

• Experience with HRMS and payroll management systems; knowledge of 1C is highly preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and payroll report preparation.
