Perfumer – Creative Fragrance Designer

About the role

Sozio, an international fragrance house, is looking for a highly creative Perfumer to join its Dubai team. You will lead fragrance projects for strategic clients, turning market insights into unique scent creations tailored for the MEA region.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative fragrance compositions across fine fragrance, personal care, home care, and air care categories.
• Lead the creation process from concept development to final client approval.
• Adapt fragrances to regional olfactive preferences, cultural expectations, and market dynamics.
• Balance creativity with technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, and cost objectives.
• Explore new olfactive territories, ingredient technologies, and formulation approaches.
• Present fragrance concepts confidently to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with evaluators, technical teams, marketing, and sales across MEA and international subsidiaries.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and technical requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Perfumery, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fragrance creation with a proven track record.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to align fragrances with market needs.
• Experience with MEA markets and regional consumer preferences is highly preferred.
• Fluent English; French and/or Arabic are strong advantages.

• In‑depth knowledge of fragrance raw materials.
• Expertise in olfactive construction and formulation techniques.
• Understanding of regulatory, safety, and technical compliance for fragrances.
