Pharmacist in Charge (DHA Licensed)

About the role

Médetone, a fast‑growing online pharmacy, is seeking a qualified Pharmacist in Charge to lead its Dubai pharmacy operations. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements while delivering high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with MOHAP/DHA regulations for dispensing, storing, and recording controlled substances (CD‑A and CD‑B).
• Oversee day‑to‑day pharmacy operations, including inventory control, workflow optimisation, and staff scheduling.
• Manage recording, tracking, and disposal of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
• Supervise drug dispensing, verify prescriptions, and ensure thorough patient counseling.
• Lead pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and trainees, ensuring adherence to SOPs and safety protocols.
• Implement internal audits and maintain records to meet DHA audit readiness standards.

Required profile

• Active, valid DHA Pharmacist licence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (minimum 4‑year curriculum).
• 3–5 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE pharmacy laws, especially regarding controlled substances.
• Excellent English communication; Arabic is a plus.
• Full‑time availability on‑site in Dubai and immediate joining capability.
