About the role

SEHA Salma Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking an experienced Specialist in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation to join its multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients requiring medical rehabilitation and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Coordinate rehabilitation care with physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing, and other team members.
• Support patients with functional limitations arising from neurological, musculoskeletal, and complex or critical care conditions.
• Monitor rehabilitation progress, functional outcomes, and continuity of care.
• Contribute to safe, patient‑centred, evidence‑based rehabilitation services and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Recognized Medical Degree with a postgraduate qualification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation or equivalent.
• Minimum 7+ years of relevant clinical experience in a long‑term care facility.
• Experience in rehabilitation and management of patients with complex and/or long‑term care needs is highly desirable.
• Valid professional license or eligibility (DoH, DHA, or MOH license).
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
