Planning, Assessment and KPI Management Officer

About the role

The American University in the Emirates is looking for an Officer to support the Institutional Effectiveness Department in planning, assessment and KPI management. The role will help implement the university’s strategic plan, monitor performance indicators and provide data‑driven insights for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the university’s Strategic Plan.
• Coordinate the collection, verification and analysis of institutional KPIs across academic and administrative units.
• Track progress against strategic objectives, prepare periodic performance reports and dashboards.
• Support the development, review and maintenance of KPI frameworks, targets and performance measures.
• Help colleges and departments align operational plans with university goals and accreditation requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Strategic Planning, Statistics, Data Analytics, Education, Public Administration or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience in strategic planning, institutional effectiveness, assessment, quality assurance or performance management, preferably in higher education.
• Familiarity with accreditation, quality assurance and institutional effectiveness processes.

Required skills

• Knowledge of strategic planning and performance‑management principles.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and qualitative assessment abilities.
• Experience developing, monitoring and reporting on KPIs.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with dashboards, business intelligence tools and performance‑management systems is an advantage.
