Planning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to lead the development and maintenance of project schedules for construction projects. The role involves close collaboration with project teams to ensure timely delivery and efficient execution of mid‑to‑large scale works.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and monitor detailed project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Coordinate with project teams to define work breakdown structures, timelines and resource allocation.
• Track progress, analyse delays and prepare recovery plans as needed.
• Prepare regular planning reports, dashboards, KPIs and progress presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Perform schedule analysis, resource loading, Earned Value Management and schedule risk assessments.
• Review contracts, support claims and extensions of time in line with FIDIC conditions.
• Participate in project meetings and provide planning recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in project planning and control within the construction industry.
• Proven ability to manage mid‑to‑large scale construction projects independently.
• Consultant background is an advantage.

Required skills

• Oracle Primavera P6 (advanced proficiency).
• Microsoft Project.
• Earned Value Management (EVM) and resource loading.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, especially time‑related clauses.
• Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) coding and schedule risk analysis.
