Plant Maintenance Manager / PMV Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Plant Maintenance Manager / PMV Lead to direct the planning, operation, maintenance and utilization of plant, machinery and vehicles across our yard and projects in Abu Dhabi. The role combines leadership of the maintenance team with hands‑on technical oversight to ensure equipment reliability, safety and cost‑effective operation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor plant, machinery and vehicle (PMV) maintenance activities in line with project and yard requirements.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Oversee breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and corrective actions for all plant, machinery, vehicles, tools and equipment.
• Assess equipment and tool requirements, coordinate hiring, procurement, replacement and resource allocation.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, schedules and equipment inventories.
• Monitor equipment performance, utilisation, downtime and maintenance costs, providing regular reports to management.
• Ensure availability of critical spare parts and manage inventory levels.
• Manage vehicle maintenance, statutory inspections, regulatory compliance and mileage/running‑hour tracking.
• Coordinate temporary hiring and off‑hiring of vehicles, equipment and tools based on project needs.
• Supervise plant, workshop and facility maintenance including electrical, HVAC/AC, water, CCTV and telecommunications systems.
• Work with stores and third‑party agencies for calibration of tools, lifting equipment and instruments.
• Raise and track purchase requisitions for equipment, tools, spare parts and maintenance services.
• Provide technical and manpower support to project and yard activities covering mechanical, electrical, plumbing and carpentry works.

Required profile

• Proven experience in plant, machinery and vehicle maintenance management, preferably in marine, oil & gas or heavy‑industry environments.
• Strong technical background with ability to lead a maintenance team and drive reliability initiatives.
• Demonstrated capability to develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Excellent knowledge of QHSE standards and ability to enforce safety and regulatory compliance.
• Effective communication and coordination skills with project, yard and subcontractor teams.
