Plastic Surgery Specialist – Lymphedema & Lipedema Management

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Plastic Surgery Specialist to join our Abu Dhabi healthcare team, focusing on the assessment and management of lymphedema and lipedema. The role involves providing specialist consultations, developing individualized treatment plans, and performing both surgical and non‑surgical interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients with lymphedema, lipedema and related lymphatic disorders.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations and create individualized treatment plans.
• Provide conservative and surgical treatment options, including lymphatic and soft‑tissue procedures.
• Perform procedures such as liposuction/debulking when clinically appropriate.
• Deliver pre‑operative counselling, obtain informed consent and manage post‑operative follow‑up.
• Collaborate with vascular surgeons, physiotherapists, lymphatic therapists, nutritionists, radiologists and other specialists.
• Maintain accurate medical records and stay current with advances in lymphatic and reconstructive surgery.

Required profile

• Medical degree with recognized postgraduate qualification in Plastic Surgery.
• Valid licensure to practice as a Plastic Surgery Specialist in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Proven clinical experience in lymphedema and/or lipedema management.
• Strong background in plastic, reconstructive and/or lymphatic surgery; microsurgical experience highly desirable.
• Excellent clinical assessment, communication and patient‑counselling skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Fluency in English; Arabic or other languages an advantage.
