Plumber

About the role

Fairmont Dubai, a hotel in the business heart of the city, is hiring a Plumber reporting to the Director of Engineering. The role covers the repair, maintenance and installation of plumbing systems and related mechanical equipment, and applicants are asked to complete a questionnaire with their recruiter after applying.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and install work according to departmental procedures.
• Install and repair PVC water and drainage piping, copper piping/tubing and GI pipe work.
• Carry out brazing, welding and gas cutting work.
• Install and repair sanitary equipment, PRV stations, valves and pumping stations, water tanks and their accessories.
• Maintain chillers, freezers, split units, AHUs, fan coils and similar machines.
• Complete requests in a timely, accurate, efficient and knowledgeable manner.

Required profile

• Reasonably high level of knowledge and skill in plumbing.
• Minimum of two years' experience in the same position with a trade certificate in Plumbing.
• Ability to repair and maintain plumbing activities.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and use of test equipment.

Physical aspects

• Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Lifting and carrying; frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling and sitting.
• Occasional climbing up and down ladders, stairs and ramps.
