Plumbing Engineer - High-Rise MEP Projects

About the role

Careers International is looking for an experienced Plumbing Engineer to join its MEP team for high-rise building construction projects. The engineer designs, manages and oversees all plumbing-related activities, making sure plumbing systems integrate smoothly with mechanical and electrical systems and meet safety, regulatory and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems for high-rise buildings, including water supply, drainage, storm water and sanitary systems, and collaborate with architectural, structural and MEP design teams
• Ensure designs meet local codes and standards, as well as sustainability and energy efficiency goals
• Oversee installation and commissioning on site, keeping work within design specifications, schedules and budgets
• Supervise contractors and sub-contractors, review shop drawings and material submittals, and conduct site inspections and progress meetings
• Perform system testing and troubleshooting, and prepare reports on designs, installations and maintenance schedules
• Work with MEP engineers, architects and construction managers, and guide junior engineers and contractors

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in plumbing design, installation and project management on high-rise or large-scale projects
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, standards and regulations
• Excellent problem-solving, organisational and project management skills, and strong written and verbal communication

Required skills

• Proficiency in plumbing design software such as AutoCAD and Revit
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
