PMC Construction Manager

About the role

Wood is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects for a high-profile client, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality and safety standards. The role covers construction and contractor-related deliverables, from small projects to subsets of disciplines on larger projects, and involves managing installation, commissioning and completion of materials and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed plans, timelines and resource allocation strategies for smooth project execution
• Monitor expenses and keep costs and schedules under control
• Maintain high construction standards, follow regulations and carry out regular inspections
• Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies and ensure workplace safety
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and clients to align project goals
• Manage field personnel schedules and report progress against the plan
• Ensure safety, quality and environmental responsibilities are defined and communicated to workers, and that workers receive appropriate training and inductions
• Run toolbox meetings, inspections and risk assessments in line with Wood and client requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent level of site experience in a senior role
• Professional Engineer accreditation preferred
• At least 20 years of construction management experience on large oil and gas offshore development projects
• Excellent written and verbal leadership and communication skills, able to work with people from diverse cultures
