About the role
The Pool Attendant is the primary point of contact for guests using the resort’s recreational facilities, including the swimming pool, beach area, fitness centre and entertainment zones. You will ensure a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment while supporting daily operations and guest activities.
Key responsibilities
- Provide information about all recreation facilities and assist guests in registering for activities.
- Promote safety rules, monitor guest behaviour and respond to emergencies according to procedures.
- Handle point‑of‑sale transactions for equipment rentals, activity fees and retail sales.
- Assist with private functions, group events and child‑activity programmes.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of pools, equipment and surrounding areas.
- Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to management.
- Support guests with disabilities and ensure a courteous, professional service experience.
Required profile
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, service‑oriented attitude.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
- Strong awareness of safety and emergency procedures.
- Good communication skills in English.
Required skills
- Operation of POS (point‑of‑sale) systems and cash handling.
- Basic computer usage for data entry and information retrieval.
- Ability to read and verify printed information, including small print.
