Pool Plant Operator

About the role

The Pool Plant Operator will respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure the smooth operation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the hotel facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect equipment, operate shut‑off valves, and maintain maintenance inventory.
• Carry out basic repairs on plumbing, electrical components, HVAC, and landscaping systems.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to subsequent shifts.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb unassisted and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and bending.
• Driver’s license.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Electrical troubleshooting and repair.
• Plumbing repair (e.g., unclogging drains, fixing toilets).
• Carpentry, painting, and minor drywall work.
• Landscaping and sprinkler system maintenance.
• Use of computer systems for scheduling and inventory input.
