Post-Doctoral Associate – Behavioral Institutional Design

About the role

The Center for Behavioral Institutional Design at NYU Abu Dhabi is hiring post‑doctoral researchers to investigate human behavioral diversity, build empirically‑informed models, and design innovative institutions and policies that promote social welfare.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct original research on the origins of behavioral diversity.
• Develop and test experimental, empirical, or theoretical models of human behavior.
• Design and evaluate policy proposals and institutional frameworks.
• Publish findings in leading peer‑reviewed social science or interdisciplinary journals.
• Collaborate closely with the C‑BID team and participate in seminars, workshops, and conferences.

Required profile

• PhD in economics or a closely related field, earned within the past five years.
• Demonstrated expertise in experimental, empirical, or theoretical research methods (or a combination).
• Strong self‑motivation, ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
