About the role

The Kirmizialtin Laboratory at NYU Abu Dhabi seeks a motivated Post‑Doctoral Associate to advance machine‑learning‑enhanced molecular dynamics studies of nucleic‑acid structures and interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply advanced molecular dynamics and sampling techniques to biomolecular systems.
• Integrate machine‑learning models into simulation workflows.
• Analyze simulation data, interpret results, and prepare publications.
• Collaborate with researchers across NYU campuses and the NYUAD community.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, or a closely related field earned within the last 5 years.
• Strong background in statistical mechanics and computational chemistry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated record of research productivity.

Required skills

• Molecular dynamics simulations (GROMACS, OpenMM, PLUMED).
• Modern sampling methods such as metadynamics, UFED, path sampling, milestoning.
• Machine‑learning applications in chemistry/biophysics.
• Programming in Python, UNIX shell scripting, and general Linux environment.
