Power BI Developer (Offshore, UAE Hours)

About the role

The Power BI Developer supports DET reporting and analytics needs by building reliable dashboards, datasets, data models and data pipelines across Dynamics 365, Dataverse, SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Data Factory and Power BI Service. The position is offshore, aligned to UAE working hours, with an initial requirement of 1 resource.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets and semantic models for business users.
• Build data models using Power BI, DAX and Power Query, and connect Power BI to SQL Server, Dataverse, Excel, APIs and cloud sources.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes with SSIS and Azure Data Factory, and prepare, clean, transform and validate data.
• Work with Dataverse data models, tables, relationships and security configurations, and implement row-level security and workspace permissions.
• Optimize report performance, dataset refresh, query performance and model design; troubleshoot refresh failures, data discrepancies and performance bottlenecks.
• Support data migration, validation, reconciliation and data quality activities, and collaborate with business users and CRM teams on reporting needs.
• Publish, manage and monitor reports and datasets in Power BI Service, and integrate Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power BI, SQL Server, SSIS and Azure Data Factory.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI report development, dashboard design, DAX, Power Query and data modelling.
• Strong experience with SQL Server, Dataverse, Dynamics 365 data structures, SSIS, Azure Data Factory and API-based data integration.
• Good understanding of reporting security, row-level security, data refresh, gateway concepts and Power BI Service administration.
• Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and strong troubleshooting skills for data quality, refresh, reconciliation and performance issues.
