Power Block Manager

About the role

The Power Block Manager will supervise and manage electrical, I&C and mechanical maintenance activities at the Noor Energy 1 CSP plant, ensuring plant availability and reliability through preventive and corrective programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventative, corrective and shutdown maintenance, including overhauls and modifications, in line with HSE and quality standards.
• Manage spare parts, service contracts, purchase requisitions and orders, coordinating with supply chain, procurement, warehouse and finance teams.
• Handle warranty claims, technical communications with OEMs/EPCs, and ensure timely resolution and cost recovery.
• Oversee workshop organisation, tools, consumables and compliance with safety and quality requirements.
• Monitor contractors, prepare scopes of work, evaluate bids and assess performance.
• Support outage planning, resource forecasting and risk assessments to meet timeline and budget targets.
• Analyse KPIs, reliability trends and maintenance costs, driving improvement initiatives.
• Lead root‑cause failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical coaching, prepare reports, reliability studies and budget forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of maintenance experience in power generation, water desalination or renewable plants, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
