Prep Chef – Kitchen Preparation Specialist

About the role

The Prep Chef supports the senior cook in delivering high‑quality dishes by handling all basic food preparation tasks. Working in a fast‑paced kitchen environment, you will ensure that ingredients are ready, equipment is maintained, and hygiene standards are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the senior cook in the production of food within the assigned kitchen section.
• Collect required food items from stores and the butchery.
• Prepare mise‑en‑place according to the section head’s directions.
• Maintain equipment in clean, good‑working condition and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Control food cost by minimizing waste while upholding quality standards.
• Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations, including cleaning rotas and fire‑life safety procedures.
• Attend training sessions and keep records of new recipes and cooking procedures.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile
