Primary School Teacher (KS1) - Muna British Academy

About the role

Aldar Education is recruiting a Primary Teacher for Muna British Academy in Abu Dhabi, starting in August 2027. The school moved to its new campus in the Saadiyat Lagoons community in August 2025 and now welcomes students from FS1 to Year 9, with plans to extend to Year 13. The post focuses on KS1 teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities

• Teach KS1 using the appropriate syllabus, materials and schemes of work, and deliver lessons that suit the whole ability range of the class
• Plan lessons and sequences in the long, medium and short term, and observe and assess pupils in line with school assessments
• Support SEN (POD), EAL and G&T students through differentiation, and liaise with speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists when needed
• Work with KS1 leaders to improve teaching and learning across the key stage, and take part in curriculum action groups and school events and ECAs
• Communicate with parents and carers about students' achievements and well-being, and facilitate hybrid, distance and face-to-face lessons

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Primary Education, or a bachelor's degree with a mandatory post-teaching qualification (PGCE or similar)
• At least 1 year of experience teaching the England National Curriculum in a primary setting
• Experience working with EAL students
• Ability to deal professionally with a range of stakeholders and to prioritise workload and multitask
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities

Required skills

• IT literate and familiar with online technologies for 21st-century teaching
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with parents in a diverse, multicultural environment
