About the role

As a Principal Consultant – Environment at AECOM in Dubai, you will provide strategic environmental advisory services to leading organisations across the region. You will combine deep environmental expertise with visionary thinking to drive sustainable business practices and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver comprehensive environmental consulting strategies tailored to client needs and regional regulations.
• Lead environmental impact assessments, audits, and compliance reviews across multiple sectors.
• Analyse complex environmental data and regulatory frameworks to provide actionable recommendations and risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Manage executive‑level client relationships, ensuring high‑quality service delivery and long‑term partnership value.
• Oversee project teams, mentor junior consultants, and maintain high‑quality deliverables.
• Stay current with evolving environmental regulations, sustainability standards, and best practices in the UAE and the broader Middle East.
• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into broader organisational strategies.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the practice.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in environmental consulting, preferably in the Middle East.
• Proven ability to lead high‑impact projects and mentor junior staff.
• Strong executive‑level client management and communication skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of UAE environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering innovative, compliant solutions.
