Principal Electrical Engineer

About the role

The Principal Electrical Engineer will interpret business issues, recommend best practices and solve complex electrical problems on major projects. Working independently with minimal guidance, the role also involves leading functional teams and ensuring engineering integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Perform conceptual, FEED and detailed design analyses in accordance with project specifications, codes and standards.
• Lead small to medium engineering teams, manage discipline execution, schedule, budget and interface with other disciplines.
• Prepare detailed design calculations, reports, one‑line diagrams, lighting studies and load lists.
• Review and approve vendor and subcontractor submittals, design verification checks and technical queries.
• Support procurement of electrical equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.

Required profile

• Proven leadership on Aramco / KJO projects or similar large‑scale oil & gas facilities.
• In‑depth expertise in electrical engineering with broad knowledge of the discipline.

Required skills

• Conceptual, FEED and detailed electrical design calculations.
• Preparation of design reports, procedures and one‑line diagrams.
• Electrical system studies, lighting calculations and load analysis.
