Principal Engineer – HR

About the role

First Abu Dhabi Bank is seeking a senior technical authority to govern, design and deliver scalable Oracle Fusion HCM solutions across the bank’s HR and Shared Services landscape. The Principal Engineer will lead end‑to‑end delivery, from requirements gathering through design, configuration, integration, testing and production support, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of Oracle Fusion HCM applications, including configuration, integrations, reporting, analytics and automation initiatives.
• Manage application operations, incident resolution, service requests and quarterly upgrade testing to maintain service availability.
• Govern solution architecture, technical design documents and compliance with security, data‑privacy, audit and change‑management policies.
• Design, develop and maintain enterprise integrations using REST, SOAP, OIC, HDL, SFTP, PGP and related middleware patterns.
• Administer OCI and OIC environments, monitor performance, support patch upgrades and optimize cost efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship and guidance to engineering and support teams, and collaborate with business, security and risk stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 12 years of IT experience with at least 8 years focused on Oracle Fusion HCM implementations and integrations.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale Oracle HCM solutions in complex, regulated enterprises, preferably banking.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and enterprise architecture principles.
