Principal Solutions Architect – dnata

About the role

Emirates is looking for a Principal Solutions Architect to join the dnata Architecture team in Dubai. You will bridge ambitious business goals with purposeful technology solutions, driving the future of aviation IT across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Define and govern corporate and portfolio IT standards, analysing emerging technologies and their strategic impact.
• Scout market trends, lead proof‑of‑concepts and update architecture assets to reflect new innovations.
• Lead solution architecture for new initiatives, vendor acquisitions and system enhancements, ensuring quality and alignment with agile practices.
• Provide expert advice, conduct design reviews and guide teams on architectural standards and exception handling.
• Manage and mentor Solutions Architects and senior engineers, coordinating virtual teams of senior managers and subject‑matter experts.
• Own the architecture roadmap, act as product owner for technical enablers, debt reduction and application modernization.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related IT discipline.
• Proven technical leadership of architects and senior developers, with ability to influence delivery plans.
• Extensive experience in major systems architecture, micro‑services, event‑driven and cloud‑native designs.
• Hands‑on expertise with AWS and Microsoft Azure architecture and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).

• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container management.
• DevSecOps, CI/CD, automation, observability.
• Database and integration technologies.
