Private Label Manager

About the role

Calo is looking for a Private Label Manager to lead the creation and growth of its private‑label portfolio across marketplace and retail channels. You will translate customer insights and market trends into commercially successful food products, overseeing the full lifecycle from concept to launch.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end private‑label strategy, product roadmap and category expansion.
• Identify new product opportunities through customer insights, market trends and competitor analysis.
• Lead product development and launch, managing specifications, packaging, labeling and regulatory compliance.
• Source, evaluate, negotiate and manage relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.
• Collaborate with Culinary, Nutrition, QA, Supply Chain, Marketing, Growth, Operations and Finance teams to bring products to market.
• Develop pricing and commercial strategies that balance customer value, competitiveness and profitability.
• Monitor sales, margins, customer feedback and category performance to continuously optimise the portfolio.
• Build business cases, forecast demand and manage product profitability with Finance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, Supply Chain or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in private label, category management, product management, FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Proven track record of taking consumer products from concept through commercialization.
• Strong commercial and analytical mindset with experience managing product P&L or category performance.
• Experience working with manufacturers, suppliers and contract producers.
• Excellent project and stakeholder management skills, able to handle multiple launches simultaneously.
