Process & Compliance Specialist - Retail (Watsons)

About the role

The Process & Compliance Executive supports the management team in the Fashion Division of Watsons, ensuring consistent implementation of operational, inventory and financial controls. Working under the Process & Compliance Manager, the role mitigates risk, safeguards assets and improves efficiency through formalised procedures, collaborating across business units and geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in cross-functional projects to improve operational processes and review controls to implement standardised compliance systems.
• Roll out SOPs and train stakeholders on processes and procedures.
• Analyse retail store operations and workflows to find improvement opportunities, and monitor the benefits of implemented changes.
• Take part in project-based evaluations and operational due diligence for new business acquisitions.
• Develop a critical path for store openings and checklists for store closure covering cash, stocks and fixed assets.
• Plan, schedule and run physical inventory counts per Al Futtaim standards, then implement controls and consolidate results.
• Review performance on key operational areas and inventory control to resolve inventory errors and assess compliance.

Required profile

• Postgraduate or university degree.
• 3-5 years of experience in retail operations, specifically in stock and inventory management.
• Analytical skills, time management, effective communication and leadership, teamwork and collaboration.

Required skills

• SAP and ERP proficiency.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office.
• Accounting knowledge.
