Procurement Buyer – Energy Services

About the role

The Buyer will support Nabors' procurement activities across the Eastern Hemisphere, focusing on operations in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. You will act as the primary liaison for vendors, contracts, and internal project teams, ensuring timely and compliant purchasing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direction and advice on procurement and contract issues for the Eastern Hemisphere.
• Coordinate with UAE operations and warehousing teams.
• Initiate vendor additions, master service agreements (MSAs), and manage catalog setup for Saudi Arabia.
• Implement and communicate purchasing policies.
• Support project management and CANRIG teams with all procurement requirements.
• Train requestors in iSupplier for purchase request preparation.
• Review, renegotiate, and approve contracts and purchase orders.
• Track local deliveries, close out unnecessary open purchase orders, and update the sole‑vendor list.
• Negotiate with vendors and ensure monthly fulfillment of annual procurement goals.
• Participate in achieving organizational QHSE objectives and report any non‑conformities.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the oilfield services industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
