Procurement Engineer

About the role

The Procurement Engineer will execute the procurement and supply‑chain strategy for assigned projects and plants, ensuring alignment with contract requirements, quality standards and project schedules. Reporting to the Procurement Manager UAE, the role collaborates closely with plant, project, engineering and contracts teams to drive performance and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement and supply‑chain plans, contributing to budgets and KPIs for each project.
• Draft, negotiate and finalize sub‑contracts in line with Veolia policies, managing end‑to‑end supplier relationships.
• Identify supply‑chain risks and opportunities, update the R&O matrix and propose mitigation actions.
• Supervise on‑site procurement teams, including buyers, procurement officers and expeditors.
• Monitor supplier performance, ensure compliance with safety, quality and contractual obligations, and report monthly KPI results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (engineering preferred) with a minimum of 7 years procurement experience on complex EPC projects and at least 10 years total work experience.
• Proven experience in sub‑contract management for large O&M contracts in sectors such as power, water or oil & gas.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; additional Arabic, Hindi or French is a plus.
• Strong planning, organizational and influencing skills, with the ability to work in multicultural, site‑based teams.
