Procurement Engineer

About the role

Al Masaood Group is seeking a Procurement Engineer to manage end‑to‑end procurement activities for its Power Division. The role involves sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement from RFQ through PO placement and delivery, coordinating with engineering, projects, sales, and operations.
• Source, evaluate, and pre‑qualify suppliers; prepare RFQs, conduct cost analysis, negotiate terms, and issue procurement recommendations.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery commitments, quality, and commercial compliance, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Identify cost‑saving and supplier consolidation opportunities and recommend risk mitigation actions.
• Maintain supplier records, ensure compliance with Al Masaood procurement policies, and track transactions in SAP.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of procurement or supply‑chain experience, preferably in power, energy, engineering, industrial or EPC sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration or related field.
• Proven track record in end‑to‑end procurement, contract administration, and delivering cost‑saving initiatives.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP or other ERP procurement systems.
• Strong supplier sourcing, evaluation, qualification and risk‑management capabilities.
• Negotiation and commercial terms expertise.
